The consultation is the true starting point in the design process. Michelle will discuss the details of your project; your goals, design points (such as personal taste, style, lifestyle & space use) and budget. A quick design questionnaire prior to the consultation will allow Michelle to hone in on your style & needs.

Each project is different, but every project involves extreme attention to detail. Detailed measurements & photographs of all the spaces involved will be taken & where appropriate; CADs, floor plans, mood boards and sketches will be initiated.

​Michelle, her contractors & staff develop floor plans for each area for layout, scale and reference. Next, we develop a color scheme then source furniture, fixtures, accessories and materials.

Custom furniture, upholstery, finishes, build-outs & built-ins can be designed and finishes chosen. 

​You will be presented with photos, specifications, fabric swatches, & samples for each element in the design where applicable. Timely approval & implementation of the design concept is crucial for maintaining accurate pricing and ensuring the availability of some design elements.

Each step of the process requires client approval, from contractor work to paint and linen purchasing. Keeping our clients informed and abreast is part of what Michelle does. Never leaving a client in the dark is important in a trusted working relationship which is why you will receive a proposal for approval that details the work to be done or items to be purchased along with all known associated costs prior to work being started.

Michelle schedules & manages all trade and contract work to make sure the design is executed properly & with the highest of quality and making sure all work has been satisfactorily completed, all concerns have been addressed, furniture ordered, payments made, schedule on track, & that no details are overlooked.
